About
The illustrations use a shoji-inspired visualization system.
The system visualizes the stories using simplified sliding doors
that open according to the length of a chapter.
The longest chapter of a book has the doors fully open,
the doors of shorter chapters open only partially.
Both the overall grid of the shoji and the background color are
inspired by story elements.
All colors are sourced from Sanzo Wada's A Dictionary of Color Combinations.
